John L. Green papers, 1923-1974.

The collection consists of: (1) Administrative Subject File, 1916-1966. The majority of the records in this series range temporally from the mid 1940s to the mid 1960s. Included are budgetary materials, materials on University of Georgia buildings, departmental files, regents materials, records on Physical Plant operations, Teacher's Retirement records and Vocational Education records, (2) Personnel File, 1956-1967, which is almost exclusively confined to the years 1965-1967, and deals mostly with employment support documents such as payrolls, security questionnaires, transmittals, etc, (3) Administrative Subject File 2, 1966-1970, which reflects a complete reorganization of the Division of Business and Finance. Accordingly, the subseries of interest which deal with this reorganization are the Budget Management Series, Business Manager, Physical Plant, and Regents. There are also smaller runs of interest, including the Public Safety and Staff Benefits records, as well as four Hollinger boxes of displaced material. This material has been displaced because of physical limitations and temporal ranges spanning both of the major series.
